With the world and people still reeling from the after-effects of the Covid_19 pandemic, RYTHM Foundation and its partners continue to carry out humanitarian aid including food provision and masks distribution to the underprivileged communities.

“Our partners stopped what they were doing and went into COVID mode. They went to the ground and in different countries, there were different sets of problems, with migrant workers, refugees and daily wage earners,” Datin Sri Umayal Eswaran said in an interview on 7 minutes with Sheila Singam.

She said in Malaysia, the Foundation works with local partners to provide food provisions to marginalised communities and people who are left unemployed because of Covid_19.

“When our local partners go in to distribute the provisions to those registered, the number of people who gather doubles with some crying and begging for provision,” Datin Sri Umayal said.

“This is the time for Malaysians to come forward and do what is right for the community,” she added.

The RYTHM Foundation chairperson said Malaysians who wish to contribute can log into the website staging.rythmfoundation.org and support the organisations the Foundation works with.

“These are the organisations that we can vouch for so people can choose to partner or fund. A lot of Malaysian families can afford to give up to RM150 which can go a long way to help another family,” she said.
