Singapore, 10 December 2012 – Even through a fun activity such as baking, one can do their part for the community.RYTHM Foundation is all about helping people in need but at the same time engaging people in new and interesting ways to do so. In light of this, staff from QI Group Singapore organised a bake sale and managed to raise a total of S$613.50 for charity.
The employees baked plenty of delicious desserts from cupcakes to cookies, and even Asian delicacies like ‘murukku’. It was a great way of spending time productively while doing their bit for the needy through the one thing that most of us share in common – sweets!

“I was pleasantly surprised that the goods were snapped up so fast,” said Teshwindar Kaur, Public Relations Executive, who baked chocolate brownie cookies. “People seemed genuinely excited about giving back which was heartening.”

Needless to say, the goodies sold out in less than an hour. Everyone was delighted and excited to sample their buys. In his opening speech, Daryl Bisset, Chief Operating Officer of QI subsidiary, Q Lifestyle, gave everyone his well wishes for the holidays and expressed his joy at the altruistic spirit displayed by his colleagues.

As Mother Theresa said, “It’s not how much we give but how much love we put into giving.” These sentiments are also shared by the RYTHM Foundation as well as everyone that took part in the bake sale that day.
