Sustainability for People and Planet
At RYTHM Foundation, we believe environmental responsibility is essential to building stronger, healthier, and more resilient societies.
As the world faces climate change, biodiversity loss, and growing pressure on natural resources, sustainable action is no longer optional. It is vital for the future of people and the planet.
Our environmental agenda supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and reflects QI Group’s commitment to responsible growth, social impact, and environmental stewardship. We integrate sustainability into our work by supporting initiatives that improve lives while protecting the ecosystems communities depend on.
RYTHM Foundation’s environmental initiatives focus on sustainable community development, clean energy access, climate resilience, eco-friendly infrastructure, reforestation, responsible resource use, and environmental awareness. These projects are designed to help underserved communities adopt practical solutions that improve well-being and reduce environmental impact.
Through partnerships with grassroots organisations and changemakers, we support initiatives such as solar energy access for remote communities, eco-friendly housing, reforestation, environmental volunteering, and community-led sustainability projects.
Our goal is to safeguard the environment while helping communities live better, build resilience, and create a more sustainable future for generations to come.

Our Initiatives
Our goal is to positively impact the lives of the people and communities around us, and we do this by integrating sustainability into our every move.

Empowering North-East India
RYTHM Foundation partnered with Global Himalayan Expedition (GHE) to bring solar electricity to remote tribal communities in Meghalaya, India, where access to reliable energy and healthcare services remained limited. The project, Empowering North-East India, used a community-owned solar micro-grid model to power homes while also strengthening healthcare infrastructure in the region.
Each household received a solar panel, a battery pack, LED lighting, a low-energy fan, and a mobile charging facility. To ensure long-term sustainability, villagers were trained in basic solar grid maintenance and troubleshooting, while households contributed to a community fund for upkeep.
- 470 villagers gained access to solar electricity in remote tribal villages
- Solar power extended to a primary healthcare centre serving over 23,000 residents
- Homes equipped with solar panels, battery packs, LED lights, fans, and mobile charging facilities
- Villagers trained in basic solar grid maintenance and troubleshooting
- Community-owned model introduced to support long-term operation and upkeep
- Improved access to clean energy, safer living conditions, and essential healthcare support

Green Skills Project, Indonesia (Ongoing)
Implemented in partnership with Plan International Indonesia in Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), this initiative addresses environmental degradation, youth unemployment and gender inequality through Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) and gender-sensitive Green Skills training. The programme supports sustainable livelihoods, entrepreneurship and food security while strengthening the participation and leadership of young people — particularly young women — within the local green economy.
- 127 beneficiaries reached
- 209 young people engaged across 6 villages through the Green Skills initiative
- 11 active youth groups established to practise sustainable agriculture and community-based farming methods
- 200 youth targeted for advanced green skills and climate-smart farming training
- 60% female participation targeted across programme activities
- 40 youth champions identified to strengthen leadership and promote gender-sensitive green skills

Clean Energy and Community Resilience Initiative, India (Ongoing)
Implemented in partnership with Global Himalayan Expedition (GHE) in Meghalaya, India, this initiative promotes sustainable livelihoods, environmental conservation and community well-being through an integrated, community-led approach. The programme supports eco-tourism development in the Nokrek Foothills, strengthens women-led Eri silk enterprises through skills and market development, and encourages cleaner cooking practices to reduce firewood use, deforestation and carbon emissions.
- 71 beneficiaries reached
- 20 women trained in Eri silk spinning and weaving, strengthening competencies in loom handling, quality assurance and product development
- 50 households reached through the distribution of clean cooking EPC units
- 100% improvement recorded in technical and weaving competencies among programme participants
- 100% improved access to clean cooking solutions, reducing indoor air pollution, fuel dependency and health risks
